Illustrated with 257 woodcuts including 75 full-page after drawings by 31 illustrators including Girardet, Grandsire, Janet, Rioux, Thérond, Valerio… , and 7 maps. Waterstaining in the margin of the foot of the page from the cover page and fading, but remaining Very rare and marginal foxing Corners and fields rubbed, but intact. Covers rubbed, with presence of waterstaining on the lower cover. Upper cover decorated very good. Spine rubbed with scuffs, on the tail cap and joints. Fine copy.
