In-folio, half brown sheepskin with corners, ribbed spine decorated with ribbed friezes and boxes, a red calf title label, and volume numbers, veined edges, covers stamped with a frieze in the height, 338 x 233, 1724, Florence. For both volumes, very beautiful engraved vignette on the title with motto "Aeternitatis instrumentum in documentum", and signed "Av. W.". Includes: Table of the terzo tomo, 2p. Then Prose di torquatotasso, Parte prima. 508p. Table of the quarto tomo, 2p. Then Prose di torquatotasso, Parte seconda, 522p. Very good interior, clean and intact. Corners and fields rubbed, corners bumped. Covers rubbed with scuffs. Rubbed joints, upper joint split along the height of the first nerve, and lower joint at the head and foot but less long. Rubbed back, scuffs on the headdress, tail, caissons. A fine specimen nonetheless.
